Terms of Service
The agreement between your shop and LuciApps for using Gravy.
Last updated September 10, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Gravy, the shop-management platform and websites provided by LuciApps ("LuciApps", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using Gravy, you agree to these Terms. If you use Gravy on behalf of a business, you represent that you are authorized to bind that business.
1. The service
Gravy provides software for auto-repair shops: digital inspections, scheduling, invoicing and payments, customer messaging, a professional website, and related tools. Features are modular and may change or improve over time. Some features depend on third-party services you connect (for example Stripe, Twilio, PartsTech, or QuickBooks), which are governed by their own terms.
2. Free trial
We may offer a free trial. During a trial, Gravy can run alongside your current system. We will not send messages to your customers without your approval. At the end of a trial you may subscribe, or export your data and stop, with no obligation.
3. Fees and billing
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (typically monthly) at the price shown when you subscribe. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future charges and takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Payment processing for your subscription is handled by our payment processor. Taxes may apply.
4. Your data is yours
You retain all rights to the data you and your customers put into Gravy ("Your Data"), including customer records, vehicles, inspections, and invoices. You grant us a limited license to host and process Your Data solely to provide the service. You can export Your Data at any time, and we will not sell it. See our Privacy Policy.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Gravy to break the law, send unlawful or unsolicited messages, infringe others' rights, or attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service. You are responsible for the accuracy of estimates, invoices, and communications you create, and for obtaining any consents required to contact your customers.
6. Messaging compliance
If you use texting or email, you are responsible for complying with applicable laws, including the TCPA, CAN-SPAM, and carrier requirements such as A2P 10DLC registration. Gravy provides opt-out (STOP) and unsubscribe handling, but you must only message customers who have a relationship with your shop and honor opt-outs.
7. Third-party services
Gravy integrates with third parties you choose to connect. We are not responsible for those services, their availability, or their charges. Your use of them is subject to their terms.
8. Warranties and disclaimers
Gravy is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Gravy is a tool; it does not provide legal, tax, or automotive-diagnostic advice.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LuciApps will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
10. Termination
You may stop using Gravy at any time and export your data. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms or non-payment. On termination, you may export Your Data for a reasonable period, after which we may delete it.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms with a new date and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Virginia.
